Since 1 January 2026, the importation of so-called ‘MACF’ goods, that is to say the importation of goods whose customs nomenclatures are listed in Annex I to Regulation (EU) 2023/956, is subject to the holding of an authorization (authorized MACF declarant status) issued in France by the DGEC.
The application is only filed on the MACF register.
An automated authorization check is carried out so as not to slow down the clearance of these goods. This automation, however, implies vigilance as to the filling in of its declaration.
The MACF authorization request
The application for MACF authorization shall be made exclusively on the basis of EORI SIREN.
The automated control checks the consistency of the customs declaration data with those available in real time in the MACF register.
Therefore, the customs declaration must also use the EORI SIREN of the authorized declarant.
The use of the EORI SIRET in the customs declaration blocks customs clearance, the operator must correct his declaration.
