The auctions of the French Customs show the diversity of goods seized in the context of its missions to combat illicit trafficking. The previous sales, organized in partnership with the National Directorate of State Interventions (DNID) and the Agency for the Management and Recovery of Seized and Confiscated Assets (agrasc), offered vehicles, electronic products, luxury leather goods, jewelry, prestige watches and precious stones. In other words, objects of some value are presented to the public.

The sale organized in Bercy in January 2025 brought together several hundred lots resulting from judicial investigations conducted by the National Anti-Fraud Office (ONAF).

At the auction organized in Bercy by the National Directorate of State Interventions (DNID) on behalf of French Customs, nearly 490,000 euros were collected through the sale of seized goods. 395 lots out of 398 were sold, with the participation of 720 people on site and more than 3,700 Internet users. In 2022, more than €1.35 million was raised at an exceptional auction.

These sales make it possible to value the seizures made by customs officers and to return the funds to the State, thus strengthening the fight against illicit trafficking and supporting the general interest.

Customs services fight every day against all trafficking threatening our territory and our society, in order to protect citizens and the environment. They also contribute to the protection of our economy, the attractiveness of ports and airports and support French companies in their international operations.

Most of the goods offered at the auction come from findings made by the various customs services and illustrate the plurality of missions carried out throughout the territory. Certain goods presented were thus seized at the border as a result of irregularities found during their importation, while others were apprehended on the territory, including during phases of investigations. Thus, the diversity of the lots sold reflects this commitment and the variety of these public service missions performed by French Customs.
