Information Customs Service

Hello my name is Hervé brouillard, I am the head of customs information services. Service is the information center for the users of the French customs which is based in the north of France in Valenciennes, we inform all the users of the customs whatever their questions. Individuals as professionals we have questions from all walks of life that come from all over the world of France since people travel, people move and people buy and we are questioned both from abroad and from France. The questions of individuals mainly concern competitions, recruitment, moves and purchases of goods on the Internet since today everyone wants to buy on the Internet and therefore users ask questions to know what they will pay, how will be delivered their packages and what are the constraints for delivery. We also have a lot of questions about tourism since as of Friday, people want to go on weekends and often want to know how much they will be able to bring back cartridges of cigarettes, bottles of alcohol either in Luxembourg or in Spain or from a trip further away for professionals we are at their disposal to inform them about their import or export operations many people want to enter international trade and question us to know the customs taxation that will apply to the import of their products but also other taxes such as taxes on alcohol, drinks and petroleum products for example then we also inform since it is part of the missions of the customs administration on all environmental taxation we are asked about the general tax on polluting activities on the taxation of electricity, coal and gas to inform all French and foreign operators who want to settle in our territory
